Well said and what a wonderful excerpt from Chrysostom! As it happens I was thinking on the subject of death this morning and was lead to that very passage in Isaiah! Then to these passages in 1 Corinthians: "The last enemy to be defeated is death." (1 Cor 15:26; cf. 15:55) "O God save me by your name and vindicate me by your might... Behold God is my helper, the Lord is the upholder of my life. He will return the evil to my enemies; in your faithfulneess put an end to them." Ps 54 Amen and amen.
